The short version
Thanks for playing The Well Kept. Here's the short version of what you may and may not do with the game:
- You may install and play a lawfully obtained copy of the game.
- You're welcome to stream or record gameplay, share screenshots, write reviews, and monetize ordinary gameplay videos.
- If you voluntarily send feedback, you allow Redfar to use it to develop, improve, and promote The Well Kept, including by quoting your comments or using submitted in-game screenshots in promotional materials. Contact details, personal information, and technical diagnostics will not be published.
- Please don't redistribute the game or extract its code, art, audio, writing, or other assets for reuse.
- Third-party materials keep their own licenses, and your mandatory legal and consumer rights are not affected.
Full license terms
This license governs The Well Kept, including updates that Redfar provides (the "Software"). By installing, accessing, or using the Software, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Software and consult the distributor's refund rules.
1. License grant
Subject to these terms and applicable platform rules, Redfar grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and play a lawfully acquired copy of the Software for private, non-commercial entertainment. The Software is licensed, not sold. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
2. Ownership
Redfar and its licensors retain all right, title, and interest in the Software and its intellectual property. No ownership rights are transferred to you. Some materials are owned by or licensed from third parties and remain subject to their respective terms.
3. Restrictions
Except where applicable law permits an activity despite this restriction, where an authorized platform expressly permits it, or where Redfar gives prior written permission, you may not:
- copy or distribute the Software;
- sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or make the Software available to others;
- modify, translate, or create derivative works from the Software;
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to obtain source code from the Software;
- bypass security, access, or rights-management measures; or
- extract or reuse the Software's code, data, art, audio, writing, or other content separately from the Software.
4. Gameplay sharing
You may capture, stream, and share ordinary gameplay footage and screenshots for reviews, commentary, community posts, and monetized video or streaming channels. This permission does not allow you to distribute the Software itself, expose separately extracted assets, falsely imply Redfar's endorsement, or use the material unlawfully or misleadingly.
5. Third-party materials
Third-party components and materials are governed by their own licenses or permissions. Required third-party notices are available in the Third-Party Licenses tab. Nothing in this license replaces or restricts rights granted under those third-party terms.
6. Feedback
Feedback is voluntary. If you submit ideas, suggestions, comments, bug reports, in-game screenshots, or other feedback about The Well Kept ("Feedback"), you retain any ownership you have in what you submit.
You grant Redfar a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free permission to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, incorporate, publish, display, and distribute the Feedback to develop, improve, maintain, support, and promote The Well Kept, including by incorporating ideas into the game, quoting Feedback, or using submitted in-game screenshots in promotional materials, without payment, credit, further permission, or other obligation to you.
Contact details, personal information, and technical diagnostics are not Feedback for the purposes of this permission and will not be published or used in promotional materials. Redfar is not required to use, review, acknowledge, or respond to Feedback. You represent that you have the right to submit it.
7. Warranties and consumer rights
Nothing in this license excludes, limits, or changes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, limited, or changed. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Software is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties or conditions of any kind, express, implied, or statutory.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Redfar and its licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, revenue, or business, arising from the Software or your use of it. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, their total liability will not exceed the amount you paid, if any, for the Software. These limitations do not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited.
9. Termination
This license terminates automatically if you materially breach it. On termination, you must stop using the Software and delete copies in your possession or control, except where applicable law permits otherwise. Sections concerning ownership, third-party materials, Feedback, warranties, liability, and general terms survive termination.
10. General terms
If any provision is unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. Applicable distributor and platform terms may also govern your purchase, download, or use of the Software; mandatory terms control only to the extent of a conflict.
